Going to make the new season of the football league sometime in the next few weeks. Who is interested in playing? I know there was alot of frustrations from last season, so if you guys are not interested then that is ok. If you are interested post on here what your preferred website is to play on.

actually, I would like to play this year if there is room. as for rules and site all I can say is that the one I did last year on Fox was awful - but a lot of that could have been the person running it as well.

yahoo's FFL always seemed to be good, im in 2 other leagues..ones on Yahoo, a serpentine style draft, and reatimesports.com draft where i do a auction draft with my co-workers...

I'd say stick with Yahoo, we're able to carry the league over and its nice seeing previous winners listed and seeing how you placed all the years before

The Molleywhoppers and Fantasykillers will not be back in all likly hood, so we should have two openings. Spy said he wasn't going to play, but not sure if he has changed his attitude at all, he was really mad at Fantasykillers at the end of the season. If he doesnt play then we will have room for a third alternate. I like the Yahoo! platform, but I am willing to try what ever the group wants to try.

I am going to send out invites to everyone that was in the league last year. I will give everyone about until the 15th of July to respond before I start sending out invites to others whom want in. Fantasy and Mollywhoppers are not getting an invite this year, so Juzam and Pariah will also be getting an invite. And right now I have you listed as the first alternate Liquid.

Yahoo is doing a new draft type this season it is called an Auction draft. You get a certain amount of money to spend and everybody bids an amount on each player. That player goes to the highest bidder and everyone bids on the next player until all the rosters are filled. Does this sound interesting to anyone else, or do you guys just want to go with the standard draft set up?

if you have never done a auction draft it does take 3 to 4 times longer then a normal serpentine draft..fyi.

Do take note that I did put a maximum number of transactions for the season at 50. I might get rid of this, but it seems one of the big fight last season was about people making too many waiver claims, so I capped it at 10 a week and 50 a season per person.
Also I think the new draft order sounds cool, but I think we will just stick with the normal draft. We are just going to let the computer randomly pick, as I am not going to put up with the headache of letting people pick their positions again this year.

I think so too, because if you over spend for one player, you are going to have nothing left to build the rest of your team. If you are too careful with your spending you will have a team of second tier players. It sounds real interesting. Maybe we can make an experimental league and give it a try.

you are not allowed to overspend for one player...if you start with $200 and have a roster of 18players, then you can spend $182 for one player leaving your with $18 left so that you can spend $1 for all the rest of your players...
no one would do that other then Amendial, but i have seen players go for the up'er $70's which was crazy...i took Forte last year for $69 and he laid the pipe to me!
its a lot of fun, completely different exp. you are bidding against each other, and a lot of trash talk and excitement comes out of this type of draft...if you ever have a chance to do it...i suggest you should, you will never want to go back to the other style. my main league i have been in for the last 11 years...we did serpentine for the first 7 with keeper here and there...we went to the auction style 4yrs ago and none of us would ever go back to serpentine.

Well, as you guys know from listening to me all last fall, I am a newbie to this whole thing. While I think the bidding might be fun, it would be my preference to just do a normal serpentine draft since this is my second draft ever. But having said that, I will do whatever the majority wants as I don't necessarily expect to win either way.

Yes it will be a live draft, the only thing to computer will pick is the Draft order. The date will be August 22nd probably. Time is not set in stone yet, once the league fills up I will ask everyone what day and time will work for them.

I remember in the other league I did last year after I took Rodgers a friend of a friend of mine started going 'HA, RODGERS!?!?! HAHAHAHA'
