Thoughts on the deal?
Scenario initially reeks of the whole Brett Favre/Aaron Rodgers thing in Green Bay only a few years earlier. But trading to in divisional rival? (Maybe they liked the guy too much to trade him to Oakland)

Rumor is he was refusing to work an extension for anyone but Washington. With only a year left on his contract no one was willing to pay the Eagles price without McNabb doing an extension. Eagles only choice was to keep him or trade him to Washington.

The Eagles are my home team 
I'm happy with the decision on him being traded. There is no denying he is a good QB, but I feel we need new blood in to start something great again.
This will also be a testament on whether Andy needs to stay around or not.

I see..
I thought that the logo was supposed to reflect that the Redskins were *face palming* their own organization at making a trade for McNabb. Which seemed silly to me since even at 32? he is a much better option at QB than Campbell is.
Personally, I think this is a good trade for all involved. Eagles get to see what their young QB is made of, and infuse new life into an organization. However, eagle fans will have to adjust their expectations for the next couple of years. At least with McNabb it was almost assumed that they would make the playoffs... But if Kolb works out well, next year, or the year after even, they could be a very elite team. *disclaimer that many, many variables will affect that statement.
Washington can now have a good QB to mentor their own young QBs so that in a few years, they can take over for McNabb when he retires. (and then unretires to go to the Jets!  )

...and then retire again, only to unretire and go play for Minnesota.
I like the trade but only because Campbell can't play. Giving up picks for an old player is not what I like to see, but in this one special case I think Washington made the right decision. Won't be suprised when Cambell is cut.

its a win for the Redskins...the Eagles are going to take a step back. this gives the Redskins to find another franchise QB and buy some time to evolve them..hopefully via the draft either this year or next. the Eagles i fear are in sad shape in the QB position.
my prediction for the Eagles is 7-9 maybe...

lol, whatever...i dont think they will begin the big turn-around now. its known that they are the most passionate, and arrogant of fans...and they will love their QB one day and wish him to DIAF the next.

Eagles fan here too. I loved what McNabb did for the team (remember Pederson anyone?) but he is overrated in my opinion. He used up Westbrook as long as he could and he still underthrows everyone. He's an upgrade for the Redskins, but not enough to take them to the playoffs this year.
