Boards Archive] |
Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.
Please enjoy the archive.

Cube it and put it in a baked macaroni casserole. That's almost always what we do. We usually add peas as well for a one-dish complete meal.

My family loves to have my fried curry rice (day old cooked rice, celery (chopped in small pieces), onion (chopped in small pieces), carrot (grated), salt, lots of curry all fried up together until vegies are soft and there are crispy bits of rice, topped with a little plain yogurt to sooth the curry). We also make scalloped pototoes with chopped ham in it. Just use your favorite recipe and add the ham and some grilled onions.
I used to have this great recipe a few years back but have seemed to lost it. It was a baked egg dish. It had day old bread layered in a 13x9 baking dish. Top with broccoli and ham. Pour an egg mixture over it (eggs, milk, cheese, salt, pepper, mustard and some other stuff). Grate cheese on the top. Cover and put in the fridge overnight. Bake the next day until the egg mixture was set. I am sure you can find a recipe like that somewhere.

Ham is good in both scalloped and au gratin potatoes. I also use diced ham in my macaroni salad and it's awesome for homemade egg/ham/cheese muffins, bagels or sourdough bread. That reminds me, I still have a whole butchered ham I still need to cook. I'm gonna have to invite a lot of guests to help eat it all. Silver

Stuffed Pasta Shells...you can pretty much stuff anything in pasta shells. I did this with my leftover ham. My recipe only serves two since it's just my hubby and I so keep that in mind if you're feeding more! 10 large pasta shells, cooked 1 cup Ricotta cheese 1/4 cup part-skim mozzarella cheese 2 slices/8 oz cooked ham, diced 1 green onion finely diced 1/4 cup egg whites 1/2 cup of spaghetti sauce 1 small tomato, chopped hot sauce if desired Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl mix Ricotta, Mozzarella, Ham, Onion and egg whites. Stuff approx 2 tablespoons of the mixture into the shells and place in a baking pan. In small bowl mix spaghetti sauce, tomato and hot sauce(if desired) and pour over shells. Cover with foil and bake 15 minutes.
