My first thought on Sunday was that this was a classless act. Edwards was throwing a temper tantrum and Keselowski got caught in the middle of it. I think one race is not severe enough for this act; Edwards should be docked a race and be in eligible for the chase this season. That would send a clear message that intentionally endangering the life of a driver and the fans in the stands will not be allowed.

im not sure it should be that ass slapping! he F'd up, and it ended up going bad, but in no way should he be docked the chase.
it was completely busch league (no pun intended) the pts that he will be docked will, and should be enough to hurt his chances at the chase...this could accomplish what your asking in a round about way. and if he earns a spot in the chase after the pts that he should be docked, then imo he deserves to be there.

It's one thing to crash while jockeying for position, it's assault with a deadly weapon to purposely crash into another driver at 190 mph. Whatever penalty he gets won't be enough.

Three weeks probation is all he got. I can not bleeping believe this. If I was a driver in Nascar I would take the message loud and clear: Intentionally ending a top five performance is perfectally acceptable. I do not think I will buy those tickets to the Kansas event this fall, and in fact I do not think I will watch many more races this year. Nascar dropped the ratchet on this one.

While I in no way condone Edward's actions, and I too think he got off light. I am totally shocked that Amendial did not turn this back into a Big 12 discussion by mentioning that Carl Edwards is from Columbia...

I had wondered why I never liked Carl Edwards much, now it all makes sense. I always thought I didn't like him because him and my favorite driver had a feud a few years back, but now I know it was just because he is from Columbia. I should have known he was from Columbia he does look a bit retarded.
