Boards Archive] |
Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.
Please enjoy the archive.

super simple, never had a bad batch. 3C sugar, 1 and 1/2 sticks of butter, one small can of evaporated milk, 1 12oz pkg of semi sweet morsels, 1 small bottle of marshmallow creme. Put the butter, milk, and sugar in a pan, cook on medium heat, stirring constantly, let it come up to a full boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly, then add the chocolate, mix until smooth, add the marshmallow creme, mix, add nuts if desired, pour into a well buttered dish to cool, cut into squares. Notin to it.

This is the one my husband uses and he makes ALL kinds of flavors (raspberry, cherry, mint, peanut butter, butterscotch, caramel, etc.) It's pretty versatile and I like it better than the marshmallow creme one. Carnation Famous Fudge Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 5 minutes Ingredients: * 2 Tablespoons butter or margarine * 2/3 cup evaporated milk * 1-1/2 cups granulated sugar * 1/4 teaspoon salt * 2 cups (4 ounces) miniature marshmallows * 1-1/2 cups (9 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips * 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts, optional * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Preparation: Combine butter or margarine, evaporated milk, sugar, and salt in a medium, heavy-duty saucepan. Bring to a full rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil stirring constantly for 4 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in marshmallows, chocolate chips, nuts, and vanilla. Stir vigorously for 1 minute or until marshmallows are melted. Pour into a foiled-lined 8-inch square baking pan. Chill until firm.

I tried making fudge once as a teenager. I got rock hard nastiness. I'll stick to cooking and leave desserts/baking to others.

dont have a recipe, but my dads fudge is painfully easy... think it is just sugar water milk and cocoa powder and a pinch of salt boiled together until it hits the right temp, then cooled to the right temp and butter stirred in and poured into a pan. only way to mess it up is have a bad candy thermometer.

Use the Hershey's cherry cordial kisses they have out around Christmastime. Don't use too much as your fudge won't harden because they have a very moist center, use just enough for flavor. I asked him and he said he uses about 3/4 cup of the cordials. He says he calls it 'Blackwuf Forest fudge'. Silver

I'd tried making fudge with Baileys one year. It did not come out well. It was still darn good though ;p

If you happen to come across it post it up here. I make chocolate chip cookies all the time with whiskey in it. Another good one is the Chocolate cookies with White chocolate chips and then put baileys in.
