I know shalis, it SOUNDS like a good idea. BUT, taking just one louse picture a day is actually one of the hardest photochallenges you can give yourself. I know, I've tried.
June this year I took pictures 27 or so of the days, and at the end, it was really really hard just to get out and shoot :>

With no pressure for it to be a good photo, I thought it was quite easy without even having to leave the house. I didn't bother because no one else did but for the last few days I could have easily...
Today: My Car as I was going to the gym
Yesterday: A sunflower in my garden, it was a gorgeous day
Saturday: A pile of books, all I did was read all day
Friday: A crumpled tissue, my daughter and husband both have colds
Thursday: Dinner, we had a lovely home cooked meal
and so on, surprisingly easy, the only bit that is a bother is any post processing, but again, not necessary outside of compressing, because this isn't about quality, it's about finding pictures in the most mundane parts of your life 
Anywho, I'm no good at maintaining enthusiasm when I'm the only one doing something, it was worth a go, but I'm happy to let it drop
I still think Foxy had a great idea, though, and this board needs more of that if it is ever to be active. Crit requests are well and good, but there has to be more than just that and the comps which are erratic at best.

I went and checked out a new state park today. Black Moshannon State Park in Pennsylvania
A good portion of the lake is a bog. Unfortunately, there wasn't much in the way of wildlife/birds out there. There was a heron and some ducks, but they weren't in camera range.

Too cute to live!!!
I've spent all week trying to get my head back in to website design, it's been a while since I've done anything and I got a kinda paid (favour for a favour) job came in. I almost miss the bad old days of frontpage and tables, I'm up to my ears in css and php with only a basic grasp of what I'm doing, I do enjoy a steep learning curve though, so loads of fun (and the occasional headache). I have basic template done, I'm now putting in some captcha code so I can have a nice bot free contact form. Anyway, so this photo represents my week:
It's a site for an ironworks company, the owner is fixing up an old steel gate for me in return for the site and hosting for a year, it's a massive chunk of steel that he's going to cut in half, add hinges and a lock and paint black, it'll be attached at either side of my patio door and will look STUNNING when done. I don't know how long it will take but I'll post a pic when it's done

That one is just a toy. The flash lights up when you press the button and it has a little slideshow thingy of animals in it.

I went to the state park really early this morning and saw these two along the road grazing. They didn't seem to mind my car being so close. I just rolled down the window and shot as I followed them. Unfortunately, it was still fairly dark, so even with an image stabilized lens and my ISO bumped to 800, most of the shots came out less than sharp. I had to go with this soft/painted look to salvage the shots.
