Mario Batali's was very interesting.

Seems to be they are doing many. Last night was Bobby Flay's. His wife is very pretty. I hadn't ever seen her, and didn't remember her from anything on tv.

Easily a year ago.  I recall them showing Flay, Batali, and Rachel Ray.  I didn't watch it all the time, just recall seeing bits and pieces of each one quite a while back.

hehe all new to me, I wasn't this into food network a year ago

the new season of dinner impossible started last night

was pretty good

food for 300 roller derby girls (no utensils were to be used)

Why do people say the Neeleys are always fake and cheesy, yet everyone around them (Family, Friends, people who have been to their establishments) all state that that's the way they really are?

Rachel Ray is a cook because she is not formally trained. That's the difference between a cook and a chef - training.

Not all chefs receive formal training. There are Chefs out there in top restaurants that have never been to any cooking school.

For many the difference IS the training:

I DO know "chefs" in nice establishments (not formally trained) who OTHERS call "Chef", but who usually do not refer to themselves that way.

I suppose if someone "apprentices" under a Chef and learns from them, they could "on-Job-training" (OJT) themselves into the Chef title. thinking
