This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.

I spent the half the day on a plane, half the day working, now I'm completely tired and will likely miss out on the celebrations, seeing as I have to get up and go work in the morning. I hope those out there have a better one than me.

First point - The Declaration of Independence wasn't signed on the 4th, just adopted by the Continental Congress and released to the public. Signing happened near the first of August.
Second point - The Declaration of Independence basically states a few philosophical points of Locke (et alia) as diffused through the lens of Thomas Jefferson, the reasons why the colonists were disgruntled with British rule and declared the bonds between Britain and the 13 southern British colonies (never could get Canada on board) broken, null and void.
So, has the government been working to reestablish British rule and I've missed it?

1st point: I said the day we celebrate the signing, NOT the day it was signed. 2nd point: the declaration of independence does indeed represent the foundation of our freedom as a country. and our freedoms are getting whittled down more and more by our government every day. swing and a miss... but thanks for trying

this is where things get fishy. our government seems to commit alot of the things our forefathers fought against. I'll not continue this argument because it'll end up getting out of hand and getting me banned. but thanks Bahgoon for taking a joke(even if it was a bad one) and googleing it to death.
