Endy's Tinkering Calculator

Endy's Tinkering Calculator is a stand alone program that in just a few steps allows you to see what your chances are of successfully tinking an item from tink 1 to tink 10.
Just select the tinkering skill you will be using using, provide your base tinkering skill level, select the spells that you are using, the workmanship of the item you are tinkering and the salvage you are using to tink it with.

It's based on Caerthalion's Tinkering Skill Calculator and Success Calculator, but allows you to see a range of tinks instead of one at a time.

Adding additional spells is on my todo list, especially for set pieces.
Interesting... I've had no problems with it calculating using 3 rares, only when deselecting rares (which is also on my todo list). Are you sure you had the correct tinkering skill selected for the 3 rares? As in, selecting the strength rare won't change anything in the calculation if Armor Tinkering is selected.

IC, yes the problem is with deselecting the rares. It doesn't increment down.

I just released version 1.0.0.2
Uninstall the old version before installing the new version.
Fixed:
* Deselecting rares and recalculating will now give the proper buffed skill
* Added the Tinker's Set as selectable spells
* Fixed the exception code
* Made the buffed skill more noticeable
Any other spells that should be added?
Also, I am thinking about adding an iron/granite calculator to it, but I haven't looked at what's involved in that yet.

Thanks for this program, it's awesome!
I have an issue:
I'm using a tinker bot on LC. After he drinks beers and I brill him, I @tell him "skill" and he says Armor Tink is 710. I can't seem to get to 710 with this program  The highest I get is 698. I've tried every possible combination of beers, 8's, 7's, Epics, Majors, etc...
Also, when I click on the beer circles, it clears the circles for Majors or Epics. It won't let me enter anything higher than 526 for base skill - is that the max base?
Am I missing something obvious?

I'm glad you like it.
Most likely the tinker bot is using a spell that affects his skill that I have yet to include in the calculations. I will be working on adding more for the next release.
Yes, the max base skill is 526.
Not sure why clicking on the beers would clear the Majors or Epics. I haven't run into that problem myself and you are the first to report it. Are you using 1.0.0.2? If 698 is the highest you can get to, it sounds like you might be using 1.0.0.1, so the first thing I would try would be to uninstall it and install 1.0.0.2 if that's the case. Or you could try just uninstalling and reinstalling even if it is 1.0.0.2. If that doesn't fix it, what OS are you using (and is it 64 bit or 32 bit)? I can only test on XP Pro and 2000. Is your .Net 2.0 completely up to date?

You do realize too, that when you tell him skill, he's only taking into consideration his buffed skill plus majors, not epics, because epics haven't been implemented into craftbot yet. I wish there was a way to add an attribute to the xml file to tell it whether it was a minor, major, moderate or epic, or even a piece of a set. Maybe I'll bring that up with Yew.
