Boards Archive] |
Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.
Please enjoy the archive.

Im making my world famous 3 cheese salad!

I use smaller portions but I'm putting it in recipe form for 3-5 people here in case someone with family wants to make it. 1/2 head of red lettuce 1/2 head of green lettuce 1.5c of grated cheddar cheese 1c of small curd cottage cheese 5-10 slices of cooked, sliced ham (you can substitute 3-4 grilled chicken breasts or patties as well) 1 bottle of blue cheese dressing(any brand) salt and pepper In a large bowl cut up your green and red lettuce to your liking. Next spread about half of the cheddar cheese around generously over the lettuce. Next take a few slices of the cooked ham and shred it so you get an equal amount all around the bowl.(you do this to your liking if you like meat in your salad use closer to 10, if not use closer to 5). Next add your cup of small curd cottage cheese. I suppose you could use large curd, but I prefer small for a salad. Stir salad til all the ingredients are mixed. Finish off the salad with the rest of the grated cheddar cheese then salt LIGHTLY and pepper to taste.(optional) Make sure you have out your bottle of blue cheese dressing, as its the last cheese to make it a true three cheese salad happy A nice substitution Ive found if you cant or don't like to eat salt/pepper is to add some low fat bacon bits, which will enhance the taste of the ham.
