Boards Archive] |
Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.
Please enjoy the archive.

Decal Installation Problem.
|
Hey all, I'm having a bit of trouble installing the latest version of Decal (Alpha 8 (2.9.6.0)) on my Win XP machine. When I run the setup it attempts to download the DirectX setup file from an invalid URL (http://core.decaldev.com/files/dxwebsetup.exe) and the setup then quits. I figured this step might be because it detected an outdated version of DirectX so I downloaded the latest version as per (http://www.decaldev.com/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=0arT%2f7uMS3I%3d&tabid=53&mid=365) and still no dice. Then I downloaded and updated using the latest full DirectX install file from Microsoft, and no still cigar. Is there a way to bypass this step or is there an installer sans DX step? Thank you for your help! *EDIT* Problem solved, I installed using the MSI installer found at this link, and it did not ask me to install DirectX: http://decal.dreagis.com/ Hope this helps anybody with the same problem!
