Boards Archive] |
Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.
Please enjoy the archive.

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

RECIPE INGREDIENTS:
4 boneless pork loin chops, 3/4 inch thick
2 tbsp. brown sugar
Salt and pepper
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
2 tart apples
2 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. chopped pecans
1. Heat a skillet over medium high heat. Brush the chops lightly with oil and cook for 5 or 6 minutes to a side until they are evenly browned. Remove and keep warm.
2. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, salt, pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg. Core the apples and slice into 1/2 inch wedges. Add butter to the skillet and stir in the apples and brown-sugar mixture. Cover and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, just until apples are tender. Remove apples with a slotted spoon and arrange on top of chops; keep warm. Continue cooking mixture in skillet, uncovered, until sauce thickens slightly. Spoon sauce over apples and chops and sprinkle with pecans. Makes 4 servings.

I'm gonna try that this week. I just got a case of CC loin chops from my work, so I got plenty of them to practice one. That sounds so yummy too!

Forgot to update... Made this...whenever I said I would lol... came out superb! I slightly undercooked the chops, pulled them out, cooked the apples, and then at the very end, put the chops back in for a bit. Flavour was a little more infused in the chops, and was absolutely yummy
