Boards Archive] |
Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.
Please enjoy the archive.

Want to get a compendium started to help out at parties, could play just rap but I feel people start to get more popping when I play club songs with some techno but are remixes of other songs.
I like this kinda of tempo the best in particular, but im always open to new things
Basshunter & Alina - When You Leave (Numa Numa)
btw video for it is a bit... uh, revealing. Not that im complaining myself but just putting that out there.

Really depends on the situation at the party... if you're playing to a crowd that's more inclined towards Electronica, acts like Basshunter and the like might seem commercial and cheesy to them. But if it's a crowd that you'd normally throw on generic club / rap music for, then go for it.
Check out Beatport.com and browse through the different genres... there is a ton of great music on there, but for what you're looking for, I'd look at the Electro House page first. Gives you a good couple minutes of a preview with nice quality. Some of the tracks are costly, but most of them are ~10 minute white label mixes with top dollar quality.
One remix that usually always brings the house down is Pryda's remix of Another Brick in the Wall

Also, if you want to get some nice tracks for free, install a plugin called StreamRipper to Winamp, and then visit http://www.di.fm/ load your channel of choice, and set it to rip while you sleep. Wake up with 8 hours of new music, separated and labeled for you. Quality will be 92k, unless you sign up for the monthly fee, where it then becomes CD quality.
edit: For the remix and mashups, i've been able to find TONS of them on soulseek, just search "white label" and they will flow in. Electro remixes of everything, from ACDC to Ghostbusters.

Ooo ty like that song, i've always been a big fan of pink floyd and always wanted to show off my love for them but their original music is way to mellow for a party atmosphere, im defiently favoriting that vid though .
About the music, i've noticed, and I did this as a sort of experiment cause one thing I like to do while I go out is just watch how ppl interact (im kinda psychiatristy like that... if that is a word...) and noticed girls really like the more faster pace songs, and the guys would like the more rap songs (some of them atleast, my forign friends love basshunter like me). I play mostly for the ladies though cause anything to get them dancing usually ends like a good night to me.
One thing I did do last time was play the video I showed in my OP, the other I played using TI's and Rhianna's version of Numa Numa called Live Your Life (they play this downtown in some of the clubs, like, all the time now. Its almost boring to listen to now haha). Seems like everyone likes that kinda beat the best generally speaking. I still dig more electric stuff but the city I came from actually had semi-rave clubs
TI/Rhianna - Live your Life
Defiantly gonna download that program though, I never used it before (or winamp for that matter)
