Boards Archive] |
Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.
Please enjoy the archive.

A truck full of Fresh veggies collided with a truck filled with Herbs, now they are free for the taking what will you make when you haul it all home?
I am going to take the New potatoes drizzle them with Olive oil and sprinkle on some roemary wrap in foil and toss on the grill while those are cooking I am going marinate Baby zuch, summer squash, split long wise and quartered sweet onions in olive oil, red wine, rosemary, garlic (smooshed) chives, and a tiny bit of lemnon grass then going to grill them as well to go with a big fat steak!

Personally, I am still waiting for the Peanutbutter truck, and the chocolate truck to collide.
For now though, I think I would definately pick up some cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, summer squash. Ginger, and rosemary
Cut up the cucumbers, onions, and mix them in with a mayo/vinegar.
and then. I would cook up the squash, tomatoes, and onions with some ginger and enjoy that with a nice steak as well...

Hear, hear!!!
We had a beer truck turn over in a ditch near here a number of years ago. LOTS of people brought home free beer and the grass was a bit 'foamy' for awhile from the bottles that had broken

I'd load up on every vege over $3/lb. Blanch it & freeze it.

For grilling season, a large basket of onions, peppers, tomatoes drizzled with olive oil, balsamic, salt and pepper is great.
Cucumber and Tomato salads are good too.

I'd grab onions, green beans, lettuce, tomatoes and potatoes. I'd can the green beans, make salads with the lettuce, make ketchup & spaghetti sauce with the tomatoes, and use the potatoes and onions in all sorts of ways.
