So... I'm trying out ltx for a melee for the first time. And I can't get it to stop whipping out a wand when hp gets low. This gets to be a problem with a toon with no life magic yet!
So, how do I stop this?
I told it not to use heal spells on the vitals tab. But it still pulls out a wand and spams me with this: [LTx] Heal Spell disabled, not using.
How do I get it to rely only on healing kits and potions for my health/stam needs?

I'm not sure if it's necessary, but try adding the healing kits to the "Healing Items" list, somewhere near the vitals tab.

Yeah I did that with the kits and potions, and it does use them. It's just that when the health gets low it decides to go crazy and tries to kill me by whipping out a wand to cast spells I don't have lol.

Move the Critical bar down to zero
When your health hits the Crit level, healing is going to fail, so it tries to use a heal spell (or S2H)
At some point, I'll change that to a checkbox to use either a list of items or a S2H

If I remember correctly- This used to happen to me a lot too - I think I know the answer, on the main box/page/tab... mage is clicked as the program style - you have to change to melee or archer or whatever was there, I forget. This is the trick (it has nothing to do with setting up the melee features, this is a separate control on the main page)If mage is clicked the character will constantly pull out the wand. I almost gave up because of this 'dumb' or otherwise useless - overkill feature. If you set up melee there should not be something making the mage work (haha)

I am pretty sure an alternative to what Xeon posted is to carry Trade Health Elixiers, having them in the Healing Items list (at the very bottom) and having the "use elixiers" checked. As long as you don't run out of THE it will then use them before trying spells. At least it worked that way a while back. I have to admit I haven't been low on health on a melee running tank for a while

Changing mode to melee was the first thing I did. It works just fine until health is almost gone and then would whip out a wand instead of using the healing kits on the higher level melee I tried it on, which doesn't have life yet.
On the new toon I was starting that character will eventually be a mage, but had to do it's first 25 levels or so as a melee first. This toon had no healing or life magic skills at all, but LTx wouldn't use store bought healing potions for me. It just ignored them. I tried dropping them and picking them back up, buying new ones, adding them to the list, all kinds of things and it would just never use them. In any case, the new toon is level 83 now and has 3 of the 4 schools necessary to be totally solo... so he can use healing magic now and be fine, but it's weird that I couldn't get LTx to use store bought healing potions (of any kind) at all =/.
