Is it possible to develop for Decal in Python?

Perhaps someone's done it? Perhaps it can't be done? I'm very curious.
From the stuff I've read so far, python seems like it could handle the data pretty well - as long as I can get it and send it. I don't know how to do COM stuff...yet. I also don't know about it's efficiency/speed.
I was blown away by Virindi's vTank plugin and how few resources it uses, I just don't know if I have the cahones to tackle C# as a hobby. Then again, I won't be doing a project of that scope right off the bat. I would be ecstatic if I could finagle a "Hello World!"

I think skunkworks would run python scripts if activepython is installed.
We have some plans for using python more directly, but those are pretty far off.

skunkworks is especially nice to begin on since you don't have to keep logging in and out of AC to see updates, all you have to do is start/stop the script from in game.

Anyone have a sample Python/Skunkworks script they could PM or post? The only examples I've found are either JS or VBS. It doesn't have to be anything exotic or documented, just something that catches a game event and reacts to it. I'll be able to figure it out once I see it...
I just cannot figure out how to register handlers I'm new to programming in general, but I have a knack for reverse engineering...just not reverse engineering while translating.
My problem is that as I try to register handlers, I get a script error that "evidOnChatServer" doesn't exist. I can make things happen when I pluck certain evid's numerically, but I want to script mana stone usage and can't do that without returning a szMsg.
