I've finally gotten around to the task of levelling up all of my mule characters, and am always trying to find the cheapest (xp-wise) way to get them to each weapon wield tier.
I decided to write a little calculator to figure all this out for me, and I'm pretty certain I have the major bugs worked out, so it's now available online (and I've modified it so it works for all skills, not just weapons):

Fixed a bug with Trained skills where I had it coded as a +5 bonus, not as an xp bonus to skill from creation.
This would let you think it was possbile to raise a trained skill 5 pts higher than was possible.
Thanks to Cleaner for pointing this out.
