Boards Archive] |
Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.
Please enjoy the archive.

I have a tall entry stair case. I would like to put 3 to 4 framed pieces of wallpaper about from 5-9ft tall, width under 32 inches. I prefer chinese style scenes similar to some board prints I have (30 inch tall by 10 inch wide)...
any suggestion for scenes like this in wallpaper or something as easy to apply?

here is an example I found http://www.usawallpaper.com/fabrwamu.html
However I am leaning more towards oriental/chinese scenery drawings.
I would build the frame around it on the wall, but I need to find imagery in a form that is tall and narrow. By frame I mean something simple like 1/2" trim work.

I know there are TONS of Oriental patterns available, my store alone must have at least 30 books you can order from. From Toiles to bamboo to herons to grasscloths to even some oriental calligraphy.
You would most likely have to special order something out of a book, unless you have a nice wallpaper supplier in your area. Online is a great place to shop too.

I guess I will need to find a local store and browse books.
I want to avoid Home Depot and Lowes
