This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.

Subject:configuring Alinco
I was told to check out Alinco for a replacement for bandit sight, so I tried the plugin. It seems to have lots of options, but I am very confused on how to configure the plugin, particularly the weapon configuration tab.
In the weapon configuration tab, what is the purpose of those check boxes below "Base Wield"? I would assume checking them activates that wield, but the default profiles don't have any of those boxes checked, so I'm confused. Also, there are 3 check boxes, but 4 fields for the base wield. Must specify at least one wield restriction??? Also, the check boxes for all the damage types are left empty for all the default weapon profiles. What are they for then? Wouldn't I have to check them all off to get weapons of any damage type?
Also, the thrown weapons default profile is messed up. The damage mod is set as 155, but the highest possible mod for a thrown weapon is 150. Also, the blue number next to it is 130, which should be 150 assuming that the blue text signifies the maximum value.
Is there a users manual for this plugin? It desperately needs one.

I'm not sure if this will be helpful or not but I checked all the boxes for damage type. I also backed out the numbers for the damage and mods, I set most of them down a number or two. Now it will pick up 400 wield weapons that are not perfect.
I don't understand every thing about how to set it up but by using the test button I have been able to double check with items I own to confirm would have found them for me. Just keep playing around with it. I hope someday a walk thou will be written for this plug in. I really like it but it feels like I'm guessing a lot.

This plugin has a steep learning curve but after you master it you will be very happy. The default settings appear to be set for detecting uber maxed weapons only. As a previous poster suggested, use that test button on some stuff and play around with the settings and you should be able to figure it out. The only thing I haven't been able to figure out is how to detect weapons that have no wield requirement at all. It works for wands but not for weapons. Wierd...
