I don't see any reason why Decal wouldn't show up ingame.

You appear updated.. you're using the right injection method, you have the correct acclient.exe.. everything at first glance appears fine.

*shrug*

You could try updating your video card drivers, they are over 2 years old.

It says XP Professional SP 2, I doubt Vista uses the same name...

Yula: you'd be surprised what compatibility mode does.

I've seen an exact export of someone using Vista who's OS says the same thing as above.

I figured it's better to ask than to assume. (Not to meantion, the Decal Export isn't coded to properly read the Windows Vista line yet).

So far as I know, I am using xppro 128bit sp2 or 3.

I have tried the drivers supplied by dell, and drivers stamped July 06 with the same results.

Really irks me, since decal was working until my HD crashed and Dell replaced it. The system should theoretically be the same as the one that came on it, i'd think.

Its not really that big a deal. I guess. I mostly used decal so I could get a bio break in when buffing.

also, msxml 4 is out of date, and at least one service pack behind.

thanks for the input... i updated the files you noted, no change.

one thing i have noticed on my end is that the box for version 1 plugin surrogate has a red x in it. I am certaain that this was not the case a couple of weeks ago when decal worked...

I am certain that the version 1 plugin surrogate has had a red X in it for quite some time. That is not the problem, that is expected as version 1 plugins are permanently disabled and will no longer work.

I systematecally disabled services today, and decal works fine when DecalFileServices is unchecked.

that would seem to me that you have a corrupt DAT file then.

the DecalFileService is the one that does the interconnection between Decal and the .DAT files. Without that, Decal essentially doesn't load images, or anything else.

Still more fun.

Each of the programs runs ONCE, then locks up the next time the game is loaded.

How do I uncorrupt my .dat file?
