Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.

Frank Black show last night...

My buddy called me at lunch yesterday and told me that Frank Black was playing a late show downtown last night. We both had to think about it a bit, but decided to go—the last time we saw him at this venue it was great.
We get to the club and there are chairs setup all around the stage...we think this is odd because every show we've seen there has a standing crowd filling all the space around the stage. Turns out he does a solo all-acoustic show!!! It was about 25% Pixes songs (all from Doolittle or before) and the rest was his solo material. The guy does not need a back-up band. It was great.
I'm a bit tired today (such an old man), but it was totally worth it.

wow, i've kind of grown into the opinion that seeing the pixies live at this point in their career wouldn't be worth it, because of how old they are and how obviously they're just grubbing for money, but a solo acoustic show would definitely be at the top of my must-see list

Would love to have seen that concert for the Pixies stuff and his solo work.
