Subject: Is there a way to make some macro without decal
I'm having problems with Decal, each time I use it, after a while (between 20 minutes and 1 hour), the computer crash (screen freeze), which, apparently, doesn't occur when i don't load decal.

Therefore i have a question : is there a third party program that allow macro and don't need Decal to be launched ?

Thank you for your help

TO have convienant use of ACTool don't you need the decal companion? ACTool itself without the companion (or whatever the interface is called) is less.... speedy and reliable, or that was my understanding. Not saying it's not useable, just takes a lot more effort...

You might want to run through the decal requirements and make sure you are up to date on everything. Also, check the reqs of the plugin you are using.

ACTools without decal is slower and somewhat less reliable in my experience.

Though that shouldn't really be a problem so long as you are attending it, because should it start to go haywire, you can just take over. (* note- this is assuming you mean some type of combat macro, if you mean a fletching or other trades macro this really should't be an issue at all )

As for fingers 2.2, I really can't comment, because at this time I have fingers 8.0 and thumbs 2.0.

I too have issues with AC and Decal at times. I've found different plugins cause these issues. I've also found it acts a little differently on my different machines. Examples: the new scrollreader3 will crash my AMD machine if I use on more than one character on an account without closing and restarting AC from the desktop. Another would be Squire. I like what the plugin does, but it seems that when I have it running I crash my Viao every time I try and log to another character, and am more likely to have AC crash to desktop while just playing the same character than without it.

I'd follow Tamas' advice, and make sure you have all the requirements, and are up to date with windowsupdate also.
Then from there I'd try only one plugin, see if you run ok for over your hour, then add another, etc. Also look up the specific plugins you use and see if there are known issues with them, sometimes different plugins don't play nice with eachother.

Though also, keep in mind that unless you have enough video ram, your going to freeze w/ decal anyhow. I seem to remember a few posts stating that the way that decal draws in AC is not optimal at this time, and can hog video resources. I could be mistaken and the drawing issue may be fixed though.

Your best bet would probally be to check here http://forums.acdev.org/phpBB2/index.php
That is the decal messageboard, look through some of the posts of people having similar problems, and you just may be able to solve yours.

If after you go through the posts of people with similar problems, try the solutions posted, and still have problems, then if you ask nicely, post your issues and an export, then maybe someone with more decal knowledge will assist you.

Edit 1- clarity
Edit 2- in all fairness, I just noticed a newer build of scrollreader, so my comments about my AMD machine may be invalid, and to remove personal opinion that would likely get flamed here.
