A not-mentioned-very-oft band from times past.

If you like very "clean" rock n' roll, they're great.

Superb knowledge of theory and cliché/sometimes intense lyrics make for great, generic sounding rock n' roll.

The wonderful about them is that they're anything but generic. You'll hear TONS of modern bands in them. They subconsciously affected so many modern bands, but are rarely given credit for it.

Check them out.

Marquee Moon is a great album, and is my favorite by them. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000AI45P/sr=8-1/qid=1153200262/ref=pd_bbs_1/103-2037960-3570249?ie=UTF8

Good suggestion bro, Marquee Moon is one of the greatest records ever. Overlooked, too.

Another reason to check out this awesome band is Tom Verlaine. He's their guitarist, and is way, way, way too underrated. Marquee Moon is one damn good kick ass "guitar" album. You could also check out his work on the fantastic album Horses by Patti Smith, he was her backing guitarist.
