Yes... The free 6 packslots are intended use, because actually filling up your pack is usually a bad thing and allows you to have free spots to make it easier for you to sell or whatever you need to do.

not only that, you are able to change between weapons and wand during combat....iwth no pack spaces, you would never be able to pull out your wand to restam, or whatnot...

Not easily. Considering that the main pack has 102 slots, six slots is a fair number to ask. If one wants more pack space they can get a pack augmentation or carry less stuff.

Seems pretty easy to me. My opinion, you only report a pack is full when it is actually full, not when someone else decides you have placed enough items in there. "Fair number" is relative. Write to handle things in your app if the backpack is actually full.

As a coder, you should no doubt be aware that sometimes, the way previous developer(s) added things makes it hard to change. This is one of those cases.

It's not worth the work involved for something that less than three people have spoken up about.

Well I told a couple of macroers here at work because I heard them complain about full pack issues that didn't make any sense with Life Tank, so make that 5 people that have spoken up about it.

I love the challenge of fixing things that were done crewy. Often times it is some of my old code. tongue

why not just clean off your character? will the last 6 slots really make a difference, considering you NEED atleast 2 slots to be able to salvage something, and combine with another bag. you would have to have the macro set to salvage after 1 item is picked up, and if you happened upon a corpse with 3 things to pick up for salvaging, you would fill the pack and be screwed.

6 slots is enough to be able to switch weapons out (on a melee or archer) and still continue being able to buff/whatever.

Why not worry about how people want to manage their pack space? 2 free pack spaces is all I need to swap weapons/wands for buffing, zero space for my mage. So zero is plenty of free space too. wink

The full pack issue might not arise as much as it does if the plug-in would salvage correctly.

I can't get it to salvage leather of all qualities into one bag. It seems to make all sorts of bags, some with similar quality levels.

Is there a consolidated thread for issues of LTx on these boards?

LT is helping a lot as a rotator cuff issue restricts my use of the right arm/hand. You would be amazed at how much a sling and such makes even using a mouse annoying.

As far as your salvaging problem goes, what is the "Combine below" level set at? It's a global setting (applies to all materials.) I think that's causing your problem. One of the things we want to do is make it specific for each type of salvage, but that probably won't make it into the next release. Most likely the one after that.

uncheck the button under combine on the imbue bags, so its not combining them, it should all be put into 1 bag, not seperate ones.

I have 5 bags of 6.xx steel from the current session. 3 of them of 3 pieces or less.

I gave up on leather as it filled my pack with stuff it refused to salvage. I have nothing special in the armor or weapon categories and only tell it to loot majors and minor wards. None of the items it ignored qualify.

Another odd behavior. I have peas under the special category. LTx is not stacking those in 100s. It actually has 3 stacks now! All from the current session. It would have to go out of its way to not have them in one stack.

I may know what is causing the problem.

I have specials defined, basically XP trophies, peas, and keys. Each partial bag is between trophies. So are items that are not salvaged. Apparently if a non-salvageable item gets looted it breaks something with inventory management (that or special item). It seems consistent, one or more type of special or another is between partial bags.

make sure combine below is unchecked for the items you want to just combine all of into one bag...(imbue salvage, leather, ivory, things you dont need multiple tiers of)

It is Usting a little beter, but it will not UST items beyond a trophy item.

Example, if I pick up a SIK it totally forgets about any item beyond that in the inventory.

I also found that if I move things out of the main pack into side packs while LTx is running it loses track of what it has in inventory.

I did a little experimenting and stacked some peas that were spread throughout the pack, all newly picked up peas went into a different stack. So the program IS putting inventory together in a way which overrides the normal "stack" effect you get when picking up items with "F"

LTX should auto stack items(on pickup), but i have noticed that when a stack of peas gets to around 50 or 60 it just starts a new stack....is this what is happening?

ImortalBob, that's a problem inside Decal I believe. I only say this because I experianced that same problem with LifeTank, ELTank, AutoStacker, and any other plugins I've ever had that auto-stack items. I could be wrong though, so don't shoot me devs happy

EDIT2:
LifeTank should still go from corpse to corpse (I didn't think it did, but ok), but wont pick anything up when you're down to just 6 pack slots. You can still manually loot items though, and if those items are deemed as salvage with the requirements you set LifeTank will still salvage those items for you. This can allow you to go beyond the 6 slot limit, and in some instances, LifeTank will start looting again, and stop when you have only 2 slots available.

I guess what we'd like to see (since this is what the threads about) is the ability for LifeTank to loot until you only have 2 slots available. That way if you're a mage or melee, you can unequipt your (1) wand, or (2) weapon and shield, and being able to equipt a wand still for recalling, healing, etc.

sure, bring it down to 2 slots, then when ltx loots a rare....you die because you cant pull your wand out to buff.

You make it user configurable and hard to die in that situation unless:

1. You aren't a mage
2. You were silly enough to let your buff expire
3. You weren't at the keyboard.

Well I solved my problem to about 90% simply by salvaging at 2 pieces.

It still misses items on occasion as well as partial bags. (yes I unchecked it as advised, that helped a bit)

What was your setting? I have my salvage @ number set to 5 items... mostly for overburden reasons so I'll salvage up before carrying too much crap. I've honestly never had an issue, well.. not lately anyhow. I remember the older versions were horrible about not reusing old bags but..

Old setting was 5.

As before, it apparently gets a bit confused when it loots non-salvageable items. I have my character loot peas, siks, and certain trophies. The only time it has an issue with salvaging is if it gets a trophy in between salvage actions. If it salvages after looting from the same corpse a trophy item it seems to work, but if its an "off" corpse - only a trophy it seems to forget about salvaging the items picked up before. Still gets the partial bags most of the time.


Guess I will have to take notes.
