I have to agree with you on this one, Spellbar Saver was incredibly useful. What a time saver for setting up new toons, changing spells as you learned them or your character advanced, switching down when loaded with vite, and when recovering from spellbar crash malaise.

I'd love to see this re-written.

I just started working on an updated Spellbar Saver. Unfortunatley, the little free time I've had recently has been spread thin among my hobbies happy

Aye, time is the gorilla we all have to wrestle.

I have 6 or 7 Ac Tool macros that are all at 80-90% complete. Functional, very handy, but still a few items not crossed off my feature list.

I dabbled in C# a little last year, and recently decided to take the plunge. So far all I've done is unscrew the lid and look inside, heh.

You almost have to stop playing the game in order to write programs. I find that it's difficult to get into the flow when coding, but once my head is inside, the ideas just pour out, things start to make sense, and I'm reluctant to stop. That expailns all those nights up til 2 or banging away happy

But it's very enjoyable when, after a lot of hard work, something works as intended. It's a new level of addiction, heh. And I'm a very, very raw noob at this. A lot of folks wouldn't even consider writing a macro script real programming. But I'm having a blast doing it. Hopefully before I'm all done with AC I'll write a Decal plugin that actually works and is generally considered useful. We'll see!

I loved Digi's plug in, too. This is something that Turbine should really look into putting in as part of the game, or at the very least, give us the ability to 'lock' the spellbars. I can't tell you how many times a mouse slip has made me drag a spell from my bar, lol. A little annoyance, but certainly not something that Turbine couldn't implement easily. On a bigger scale, the ability to 'save' spellbars/tabs and load them with another char would rock as well, just like the plug in did.

Regardless, I'm happy to hear you are bringing it back, Digi love

I may be able to add a "lock spellbar" feature in the form of undoing any spell that you move on the spellbar.

Normally I am aghast at authors who allow feature creep to change the essence of plugins they upgrade...

Having said that, one thing that might be very cool on a new Spellbar Saver might be the ability for the plugin to automatically change all your spells down one level if you have vitae, and then back up again when you lose it. With a disable/enable toggle.

Of course, one might make the argument that in light of the average character level in the game these days, vitae is no longer a factor and the effort needed to code this would be wasted for the most part.

Heheh, unless, like Ling, you're a 10/10 focus/self pure melee char. Even at level 200+, with 5% vitae, there go level 7s for me, lol. (Okay yes, granted I haven't spent a ton of xp into magics, and could raise them if I wanted, but I rarely ever die. I have only died 2 times in the last couple years, so it isn't a huge issue for me, lol, I just go unbuffed and work vitae somewhere before recovering, my resistances are natural level 5 pros, so it isn't a big issue being unbuffed).

That being said, it still would be kinda neato to have, assuming you had all level 6s, of course.

And the "lock" feature would rock, Digi love
