Working on the formula that determines what your character's burden percentage is, given two variables, buffed strength and total burden of all items carried.

If anyone has this please let me know, thanks.

Thanks, I'll test that.

So you are saying, that if you have 600 BU and buffed strength of 4 you would have 0 % burden?

I think 150bu is right for each point of strength. But that varies if you have any Might of the Seventh Mule
augmentations, +20% for each so:

150
180
210
240
270
300

Has anyone got that augmentation? How's it workin' out for ya? One of those would be good for a few thousand extra BU, but it just seems like a convenience thing...

I took that as my first Aug on my 10 str mage. Even though I always have my main pack 100% empty, plus 1/2 a side pack empty (I'm not a pack rat, nothing on my chars but what I'll need), if I had 1500 tapers, I was 91% burdened, which meant looting much was out of the question. Since I'm not at all rich in game, and must loot and sell to cover my comps, I decided on that as my first Aug. My mage went from 91% to 65% with the one aug.

I don't plan on doing it again, but it sure is nice to be able to carry 2000 tapers AND still be able to loot plenty!

I have a 10 strength mage, and also a 10 strength 3-school Xbow, and fighting to keep burden 'in the green' is a constant struggle. My main is sword, and HE does the heavy looting & etc. I've always had to be very selective about what I picked up on my 'lighweights'. But they are really secondary characters, in that I play them more for variety and to experience playing other character types. I can see how it would be a rough road if either of them was my only character.

From what I know 150 is correct, but for staying at 100%. Meaning if you have 10 Str, you can carry 1500 BU and be at 100%. Its 450 per for your max bu (300%) for say a mule.

A character can hold 150 BU per point of Strength. So to figure out your 100% burden level multiply your Strength by 150. This formula is linear so it is true for any Strength level.

100% Burden = Strength * 150
200% Burden = Strength * 150 * 2
300% (Max) Burden = Strength * 150 * 3
