Are there any plugins that translate spell words? ‘Spellwords’ doesn’t work with new decal. Thanks happy

I'm almost done with a plugin to do this; just need to get one kink worked out then create an installer and a page for it on my site.

Okay well it's ready, but due to the impending release of the next version of Decal, I'm going to wait for that =)

It'll translate spell words, and can filter out spell words from:
  • Yourself
  • Non-player killers
  • Your fellowship
  • Your allegiance
  • Everyone except your current target
If you can think of any more features that'd be useful, let me know now happy

That great, thanks for all the hard work. grin

Would it be possible to selectively filter combat messages too, or is that a "whole 'nother can of worms"? The game's filter options never have given me what I'm looking for. I have always wanted to filter out all the combat messages EXCEPT the messages that tell me the damage I did when I landed a hit. I often need that feedback to tell me what damage is most effective, whether I'm hitting a vulned or unvulned critter, or in the case of my mage and ring spells, whether I'm landing or missing the critters. All the other messages concerning evades, resists, and how much damage they are doing to me are just so much chat spam.

If that functionality was easily included, it would be awesome. If not, I'm sure it will be quite a benefit just as it is.

Jothony: Virindi Chat System may do what you want. I've never used VCS myself though, so I'm not positive.

Combater2 also filters out quite a bit of stuff...spellwords(your own and/or others), fizzles, combat messages (evades, 0 damage, resists, etc) and a bunch of other stuff.

It won't however translate spell words.

A new version will be released when the next version of Decal goes public.

that's a close enough estimate - ie maybe this month next month this quarter a fuzzy response that's open ended and subject to delays rather then a will be 31 may type.

Well for one, "this month" would be by June 31. I have no control over when Decal is released. I'd say the date is more of a guess than an estimate, if you want to parse words wink

AgentZ also had alot of built in filters, and can be customized for exactly what you need.
For this in particular, it can filter out either your or your opponents evades, 0 damage hits, all combat messages, etc.

For custom filters, by default, it includes one for filtering low damage hits too:

<Chat_Custom text="*for [123456789] points of*" enabled="False" type="21" window="B" color="Default" sound="None"/>

but you can create new ones to customize it however you need to aswell

Can you make text colors for spells configurable? So you can have different colors (or even sounds?) for enemy heals, debuffs, wars, revits, etc? shock
