I'm not sure if it is possible, but a plugin that would allow you to view the packs and equipped items on all the toons in the acct you are logged in on. This would eliminate the hassle of logging toons in and out to search for items etc. Maybe this has already been tried, dunno.

This is not possible. A plugin can only search the information on the logged in character. The information about a logged out character is not available on your PC.
The only way to do this activity is use a log each character in. Export their inventory with a plugin like Imp Inventory and then sort or process the character exports outside of the AC environment.

Yula, sure this is possible. You would need to log on each character at first, at logoff you could save their inventory to a database on your PC. The plugin could access this information with filters and a search function, say you need a Major Coord shirt, it could tell you that Mary Poppins has one in pack 3. When you log on that mule and transfer the item to another toon or to a chest, no worries because the inventory snapshot and database update is done at logoff. When Big Hero gets the item the same happens and now it will show in his inventory. Simple concept.
Be a helluva lot of work though.

Yeah I thought about this when I was writing my reply and decided that it was not worth mentioning due to the helluva lot of work and Decal is still Alpha.
We have a perfectly good working solution Imp Inventory. Why wait ask for a new solution that does not exist and mostly likely will work less well than Imp Inventory?

Actually a person would have to use Imp Inventory or it's functionality in such a plugin. Now what would be neat (and perhaps save some work) would be to create an seperate database handler that used II as a module to generate inventories at logoff. Might be tricky manipulating two plugins as one of the core rules of Decal is that no plugin shall interact (interfere) with another.

interact and interfere are 2 totally different things.
DCS and BS/2 interacted with eachother without interfering..

I've been thinking of adding some inventory storage stuff to Sort It!
Once that's complete, making it searchable in game is relatively minor.
But I've got to get a Mule Trade It! release out first, work has been a little busy recently so I haven't been spending my down time programming.
