AgentZ 0.9.0.15 - http://www.tidac.net/

I meant to release a smaller upgrade sooner with just some bug fixes but I started adding stuff and kept adding more, and of course the new stuff broke and then I had to fix more stuff tongue

AgentZ provides XP Tracking, Spell Tracking, Corpse Tracking, HUDs, various chat functions and several other features

Note that existing config files will still work, however, certain general chat settings will not carry over. Check your General Chat tab for:
1. Any line which you have made changes to (color, sound, etc.) will need to be checked.
2. If you previously had filtered some chat types (By unchecking the left check mark in the list), you will need to redo this by going to that chat type and selecting "B" for it in the new far left dropdown.

New Features:
* Predefined Chat – You can now move a type to a specific window
* Custom Chat Rules - Move, remove, change the color of, or set sounds for specific lines of text you specify
* Item Spell Tracking - Tracks item spells cast on your items
* Corpse Tracking - Keeps track of your corpses, listing where they are and how long until they decay
* Global Config - Create a single config that you use on multiple characters, changes are set for all
* DHS Support - Hotkeys for resetting session xp and toggling view of each HUD
* XP Change Filter - Filter out small XP changes

Other Changes:
* Aliases - Now works more intelligently
* Clock HUD - Add the date
* Buffs - Able to offset your tracked time
* 5 minute XP/Hr - Displays XP/Hr based only on the last full 5 minutes of XP production
* Mana Charge Value Threshold - Will not use mana charges with value over the threshold

There should also not be any issues downloading it this time.

Please post if you have any problems.

is this your typical config/run delete to remove old, then install .15,

or just install .15 over existing version?

didn't see any quick install instructions

Go to the spell/buff tab and pick a spell for the timer to track.

I love AgentZ but...
I can't figure out how to move the HUD. Click and drag doesn't work.
The comp HUD is counting prismatic tapers in my chest. The count doesn't change even after closing the chest, until I burn one.

Thanks happy

Hold control key while draging to move the HUDs.

I'm aware of it counting items in chests, I should add that to known issues. I'm working on fixing that.

One thing I noticed is that it doesn't always filter out expiring spells.

A couple of suggestions.

If you look at GoArrow and Target Info you'll note that both plugins put a border (usually black) around the hud text. This makes it a _whole_ lot easier to read the text when the text and background colors are closely matched, as in white on snow or day time sky colors. It would make your hud text considerably easier to read if you did the same thing. Just for info, the only text colors that I find to really work well against varied color backgrounds are white and yellow (and occasionally light green or red), the rest either don't show up well or are less than visually attractive.

I have Combater installed, but the two items I really want it to filter seem to be busted as they aren't working for me, namely "you resist" and "you evaded" messages. I set up two custom filters in AgentZ to block those two messages, but the only down side is that the only way to get them out of the default chat window is to send them to another one, in my case to chat window 4. Most of the time this is no problem, however if it happens that I need to have chat window 4 open while involved in melee I still end up with a ton of "you resist/evaded" messages interfering with whomever I'm chatting with. Why not add another option to the custom filter options allowing you to completely discard the line containing the desired filter, having it not show up in _any_ chat window?

Lastly, it would be really nice if you added all the usual "recall/go somewhere" alias commands to your alias list, basically incorporating into your plugin what the old "AAA" alias plugin did or what RecallHelper mostly does now. Heh, doing so would let me uninstall RecallHelper and reduce my number of installed plugins. As it is, AgentZ and RecallHelper partially duplicate each other, with neither one being as complete as AAA was before the AC update. If you ever used AAA you'd understand why I'd prefer removing RecallHelper, i.e. if you're used to AAA's 2/3 letter shortcuts then some of RecallHelpers shortcuts are both too long and "non-standard". whistling

P.S. I took your web site AgentZ Manual HTML page and converted it to Word DOC format. I can email it to you if you want to make it available for download on your web site. I also have it in WordPerfect format if you'd also like it in that format (I detest Word and only use it under vociferous protest).

Thanks Logan, I'll check spell expiration for problems.

coasty, I'll consider adding something like that. Currently you can set the background color and transparency to whatever you wish which should allow it to be readable pretty much always. The square should never be larger then it needs to be for a particular hud. In cases of full transparency what you're suggesting would be better.

For removing those items, they are both supported under General/Predefined. If you scroll down you'll find Your Resists and Your Evades. Select them and on the left dropdown, choose "B" (Block). In custom, you can achieve the same thing by entering "B" in the window line, as opposed to a window number. "B" will override all other choices. "M123B" will block the line, where as "M123" will send it to main chat and windows 1,2 and 3. (That was explained in the manual wink )

For the aliases, are you refering to cast spell recalls aswell? I can look at adding those aswell.

I would appreciate you sending me that word doc, it could be useful to have it up for download. Thanks happy

Subgenius, its possible the site was having problems, but it is working at the moment. Try again and see.

OK, I followed the manual this time (I learned to read today!).

This is what happened...

I turned on the "Your resists" line in Predefined and set it to block those messages, then went and tested it. It didn't seem to work as I still kept getting "You resist the spell ..." messages in the default window. I then made a custom filter for that message type, specifically "You resist *", and set it to block, again the message was not being blocked. I tried various ways of entering the block function, such as M123B etc and B by itself, but the messages still weren't blocked. I can send the message to any of the chat windows and keep it out of the default chat window, but the block function will not work. M123B, for example, sends the message to all those chat windows and nothing is blocked. The same thing happened when I set up a custom filter to block "you fizzled" messages.

Heh... Either I'm totally mis-understanding the manual, and the example you quoted to me, or there's a bug in the works somewhere.

After a little testing and a look at the code there is a bug related to if you have a custom rule attempting to block a line, and a predefined rule changing the color of something relating to it. The resists should work though, I will have to look at that one more closely. If you have changed the color of "Your Spells" then turn that off and see if it will block your fizzles then.

Remember custom rules *should* override predefined rules (atleast they will once I fix this bug), and custom rules are order specific. Not sure if that could be problem but just throwing it out.

I left the colors of all the predefined filters at their default. The only one I temporarily changed colors before putting it back to its default was the "kill" message filter.

As for custom filters, I only have two of them. One for spell resists and one for fizzles, and for now both of them are pointed to chat window 4.

I haven't yet played that much with custom filters. I'll be fiddling with them a whole lot more once the block option works like it should.

Heh, what I'd really like to see with custom filters is the ability to change the font size of a specific filter (the kill message), but I STRONGLY suspect that won't be feasible unless Turbine itself does it.

please email me your config file

and you would be correct, setting the font size for the chat windows is only for the whole thing as far as I know. It would be concievable to create a hud based chat window where that could be done, but thats abit outside what I intended for this plugin.

Done... While I think of it, did you get the Word Doc file??

This seems to be my week for being dense, so, a question for you...

There's four filters pre-defined in the Chat/Filters tab that I'm not sure of what they're supposed to do. They are -b-, <b>, <t>, and <p>. What do these filters do?

Thank you, I tracked down the problem, I'll release an update soon, I wanna try to fix one other thing first.

Those are or atleast were various bot tags when I first created AgentZ. -b- is Castaway. I think <b> was Insane Bot, and <t> was ACTrade, and <p> might have been Zycra portal bot. I should update those to the current bots.
