Funny Arch, on the way home tonight I was thinking the same damn thing - scary - and was going to post the same question - are the Decal devs working on pushing Decal through to Beta, and then a Release version? Or are they taking a break, have they lost interest, do they think it's good enough as is...just curious.

You probably won't see a Beta/Release until we get the Rendering and View system completely redone... we're still working on that as time permits... unfortunately, most of the Decal Devs lack the time right now due to work or school pressures.
Basically, you won't see a Release version at minimum until the View system is fixed... most likely not even a "beta" version.. but who knows about that one.

Beta branch is going pretty slowly, as no one but me is working on it and I don't really have a lot of time. Mekle, who usually manages to get me to do stuff, is absurdly busy, so not a whole lot is getting done.
Greg (GKusnick) of Skunkworks is working on some stuff in the Alpha branch with me related to 3d object injection, and the next Alpha release should be fairly soon, with some neat new capabilities no one has seen before.
