I was talking to an Envoy yesterday but I couldn't see ANY of his tells. It was in response to a complaint I'd made not any UCM test so I was lucky as I was unable to see ANY of his text. The only reaosn I know someone was talking was that my gong went off. I did '/r' and it showed up as '/tell +Envoy Thayne, '.
The only plugin I was runnign Was ELTank and the lastest Decal. ELTank doesn't intefere with ANY open chat or tells so I need to know if anyone else has successfully spoken to, or failed to talk with an envoy on the current build of decal.
If you have Successfully been talking to an envoy since the last patch, PLEASE post here and let me know.

I'm not sure if turbine is using a new way of conducting UCM tests, but I was contacted by Thayne a few weeks ago. He was standing right in front of me and asked, "How's the xp?" which is odd.

He often does that, But I'm only interested in contacts SINCE the last patch.
I've one report of an identical situation but this person was running Decal and LTx. Different plugins so I need more reports to try and find if this is a decal issue or more bad code from Turbine.

I'm wondering if that means they know about the bug.
My guess is that due to the way Admin tells are sent (trying to avoid alarms) the new chat colouring/hot links are breaking Envoy tells.

myy friend didnt get her skill point and someone sent in a report
kirby came. he talked to kirby in /tells, but could not hear him if he was talking to him. he told us in open chat he was talking to him, but not hearing kirby, if he was talking ot him.
a few secs later, kirby responded in open chat that something must be wrong w/ his tells
he finished his business w/ us, then left...all in open chat
think his /tells outgoing is broken or something

One of the Tank filters is doing this, I was able to speak with one last night in tells, with ALL filters off. Did not have time to determine which filter it was though . . .

chance is not that big when the envoys already seem to know about this. anyway if it's a decal / decal plugin issue then the ban is more or less legit, turbine doesn't have to take 3rd party tools messing up chat into account. and if it's something on turbine's side im sure they will be very easy with appeals.

I was running decal and LT when this happened.
I submited a chat abuse report and got a reply from an envoy with in 5 min.
I know I was running LT when this happened because the alarm went off and scared the piss outta me. (I didn't realize it was on by default and I had the music up when all the sudden ARUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGA!, woke up the baby too, was kinda stressful trying to turn it off.)
Anyways point being was that I did indeed talk to him in /t
He told me something along the lines of:
Thank you for the report, I will investigate.
so I did /r Sure thing, go get em tiger.
So he did send me a tell, and I did reply, and both were seen in my chat window. (as best as I can remember :-\)

Don't know yet if this is related or not, but early Sat. (01/21/06) a friend died while doing lifestone recall. Her corpse ended up in the center of the lifestone. Could open corpse, but not loot it.
To shorten the story, leaving out some details, She had to log, I waited 3 hours, and sent in 2 urgent request as follow ups to hers, and never recieved any reply. I was running tank. But was also standing or running around the lifestone in question (played some tag with another friend (didn't think I had friends did ya! ;-)
I also PM'd Frelorn on AC's board about the lack of any response. Still waiting on his reply, which might answer if I was sent an +Envoy tell but unable to see it.
Glad my PM was polite ;-)
I'll post if/when I get a reply.

Haven't talked to an envoy in ages. I hunt egg orchard but we are either in the egg room or running the tunnels for rippers. I love envoys...they have gotten me out of dead zones and laugh at the bugs.

My vassal got banned for not responding to an envoys tells. He claims he never saw any tell and was not (he doesnt even run decal) macroing.
Ban was overturned 2 hours later but still upset him.

I was UCM checked the other night, but it was done in open chat which I found unusual. I'm sure they realize there's an issue, and doubt it has anything to do with decal, because like another poster said, 3rd party apps are not their responsibility.

I was in Egg Orchard the other day and an Envoy materialized right in front of me - Guku? Anyway, not a traditional UCM check or anything, just chatted away about Loot and XP and Rares and such, while I kept on hunting, looting and salvaging. Stuck around for about 5 minutes and went and pestered someone else at the T room.... weird. I was using El Tank, and he gave me no tells, but, I could see everything he was saying allright (in open chat).

I think it was related to the change they made to "prevent players from sending colored text" but it was also blocking their special, get thru any /filter or /squelch, +Envoy tells.
For instance, if you now try to send text like:
/cg cool some <Tell:IIDString:0:BlahBlah>Green Colored Text<\Tell>
It's now blocked.

i didnt miss envoychat..it takes over and picks a channellike /a and will not chat anywhere else except in that challel untill i completle log off and relog.
also a chat thing it does even wile off is goes outta chat and starts the chat dance wile typing..like hit a hotkey or something and took it outta chat. i still think it is an awesome program and aam extreamly grateful...ty
