Couldn't test this until we had patch day taken care of. I just tried it on my computer and it worked perfectly, so until I get a more complete description of exactly what is happening when you try it (for example, what order DOES is show up in?) there's really not much I can do.

basically, it seems to ignore the work of the salvage ... for instance, if I had 24 bags of steel in the main pack of my mule and only those bags, I hit "sort by material" and it would complete immediatly ... before it would appear to check each bag and arrange them by work, even though they were all the same material. So to answer your direct question, it the order they began in my pack (random) is how they ended up. I can try again, but that is my recollection.

btw thank you for your attention!

The ability to sort my salvage by type and then by wms within each type was the major reason I use Sort It! Sure would be nice to have that feature back. tired

depends upon how the bags got there sometimes.

for some reason if i pass bags in trade window and try a sort it doesn't always sort properly some stuff is ignored.

HOWEVER, if you do reverse sort on material. thenonce that is done uncheck the rev and sort again the pack is usually all correctly sorted.

Wow, wish I'd thought of that. Gramps, what happens when you try a reverse sort?

I have had this same issue since the last version. I also asked the same question on the announcement thread last week and didnt get a response so I thought it was just me.

What happens to me is I hunt for a few hours till my main pack is almost full, then I salvage everything in the main pack, in the order that all the items are in, which is random. Then I select to Sort it by material, which is exactly what I have done in the past. Only now, it sorts all the items in the main pack by salvage type, but not by work. It sorts each salvage within each catagory randomly. So I might have 24 items that are steel, but they are not grouped in any specific order. I have tried the reverse sort and it does the same thing, only the groups of salvage are reversed order.

Before I would use the exact same technique I am using now but the finished result would be all items in main pack would be first grouped by salvage type, and then by workmanship. Now it is grouped by salvage type, and then sorted randomly NOT by workmanship.

I slipstreamed a possible fix for this. If you have Sort It! installed, uninstall it then download and reinstall it from the website. I got lazy and didn't do all the work to rev the version number since I actually plan on trying to play some today.
