Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.

This plugin uses wildcard matching to allow you to change the color, filter, or gong/sound on any text. For instance,
Someonecool tells you, "*"
could be always turned red, so that whenever this person is talking to you you won't miss it. Or you could filter this:
* has left your fellowship.
if you find those messages annoying. There is also message forwarding, so, for instance, you could send along all messages containing the word 'drudge' to another player. Since the matched text is specified by a wildcard pattern, the possibilities are endless. More information is on the webpage. Please let me know how the plugin works for you!

This morning I did some testing on Alpha4...it looks like it works with both Alpha3 and Alpha4.

I have just released a major update to VCS: it adds the ability to perform any actions you can type into the chat box, as well as support for AC's floating chat windows.
The readme has also been rewritten to make it easier to understand the process of configuring VCS.

Just because I'm not a moderator, doesn't mean I can't do my part to help try to clean up things.

having a blast with this plugin.
Some limitations I've found:
1) If you change color of General, Trade, LFG, or RP chat you MUST use an alert (an empty one is fine), such as:

2) You cannot send a command to another plugin. I use SortIt for equiping items. A valid SortIt command is "/si equip Fighting Clothes". I attempted to create a shortcut for this like so:

Do=/si equip Fighting Clothes
3) You also cannot send some AC commands through VCS, such as "/clear". The following does not work:
//Clear screen

4) You cannot put multiple action commands of the same type under one Action heading - this didn't work either (it runs the first Do= command and stops).
//Sync friends list

But those are minor things, this is a very cool plugin. I'll post my current settings and filter file if anyone is interested, several pages long now though, heh.

I have an alpha version of VCS with a GUI for modifying filters...I figured I should let people have a look. Actions editing by GUI is not yet available, and the $$$ in Do actions doesn't currently work. Remember, this is alpha.
