Masnark nodded as Toki finished her story about her first love. Him, Zlara, Myssi and a few others were sitting around the table, sharing old stories. He was somewhat of a strange sight in that pub. The only Elf. It mostly seemed natural to him now. But he would always remember what his kind thought of the Bolgs and of the Humans. He didnt have to like it. So much of his time was spent trying to gap that chasm between the races.
They all looked at him expectently. "It's be your turn, elfie" Zlara said.
He looked at them, he didnt expect to have to tell his story. But after two glasses of that stale ale they seemed to like so much, he was not entirely himself. So he told them.
I was hunting at the Parth farm when I was very young. So many centuries ago. Trying to eradicate the demons that took over it. It was a gruesome fight. Only me and my underhill. It went on for quite a while, all the time, from below the earth more and more came, ready to overcome me. As the day drew to a close, the demons were mostly eradicated, but I could not keep my eyes opened. I was too tired. I decided to go and sleep some of the fatigue off. As I went into the barn near the farm, I told the underhill to keep guard and wake me if anything strange happened.
It was completly dark by the time I got out of my robe and looked for fresh hay-stack to sleep in. On top of that, it started raining, and the tempratures lowered dramatically. As I was groping around the barn, looking for a place to lie, my hand suddenly touched something warm - the frizzly hair of what must have been a gentle elven maiden. I immediatly pulled my hand back and apologized. I heard the intake of breath, but got no reply. I was getting mighty cold, and I suggested, somewhat boldly that we keep each other warm through the night. Again, there was an intake of breath, but not more. I took that as her agreeing, and snuggled up near her.
Now, I have never known a woman before, but being so close to her, had affected me in strange ways. I could feel her warm body against me. I could feel her hair. I will not go into details, but we had a very active night. It was the most amazing night I have ever spent with a woman. As I was lying spent on the hay, breathing hard, I suddenly heard my Underhill shout something incoherent. I could feel him getting anxious. I knew I had to leave, but I just had to have her name. I lowered my face towards her and asked for her name.
"Baaaaaaaaahhh" she said to me.
"Baaah" she said, and licked my face.
