On the interwebs before it was cool to meet somebody on the internet. We actually chatted in the same web based chat room back in '95. She was 13 and I was 15.
She had a thing for me...I had no interest. She still bugs me about that to this day.
Fast forward to 7 years later after a few years of falling out of contact with each other and she's talking about needing a vacation. I was living in FL and told her that if she wanted a vacation she could always come down there. She came down, stayed in a hotel down the street, and things just kind of took off from there.

We met in jail. OK, so we worked there but it still makes me laugh, lol.
Our first date was to the grocery store so I could cook for her. It was simple food compared to many things I make but good ingredients and good conversation make a snack a feast.
We will be married 9 years this June. I still thank her mother for giving me her blessing.
I knew she was the one when she agreed we didn't have to be married to find our happiness together.

Dated her in high school for a couple weeks before her family moved away. Twenty years later she called me up out of the blue and invited me down to a BBQ at her father's house who had moved back to the area.
She was living in Spain at the time, home just visiting, but we hit it off big time. Long distance relationship started and for six months we traveled to be with each other before I moved to Spain to be with her for five years. Finally got sick of Spain and moved back to my house in VT and live there full time now.
Married two years now.

After my first visit, I was smitten. My then girlfriend said, "I think you have a crush on your doctor"...she was right.
I broke up with my girlfriend 4 days later (it was time, we both knew it was just something fun and nothing serious) and called my new doctor. Made an appointment, asked her out, she laughed at me and deferred to answer. Ran into her shopping two days later, asked her again, she accepted, been dating since.
