My favorite memory involves a certain poster getting back-to-back-to-back bans over a two week period. It makes me giggle just thinking about it now. Yes, I know that makes me a bastard. I'm their king. 
Before that, I really enjoyed the World of Warcraft boards and the contests they held like to give you a title for example. There was a time people were pretty civil on that board, but it turned into complete crap two years or so ago when the trolls made it rather unbearable.

I remember staying up all night posting on the FF board with one of my friends about mashed potatoes. Nothing but our love for mashed potatoes....along with Fighter (back when he was a mod). At the end of the night, he deleted the thread so we wouldn't get in trouble! lol It was silly and one hell of a spam thread.
Most of all, though....Yuki. No one thing in particular, just a great friendship.

Vestipocolypse ( http://[space] thingie) for sure...on this board anyway. It was awesome. I have a screen shot somewhere that Overslept sent me where....well, I can't post what they changed my post to say but it is hilarious. I laughed so hard that night I almost peed my pants. Getting the Vesti to invade that Hermione Grangier fan board was so funny....sheesh, what a great night. Well worth the ban stick.
The first time my ex-wife ever posted on the Outpost was a hoot. It's the oldest thread still archived over on the Outpost. We had a blast with that one.
DEMF and Squick.
The old yahoo chats and AOL IM chats circa 2003 were great. Lots of T&A and some very funny stuff. It's almost sad how much fun this place has been at times.

I enjoyed the early days when everything was new and fun and every single person on the internet wasn't an expert in everything. Hanging out in ACF IRC - the Shauna_Eyebright one. People like Rose (not Rosethorn) and Mothra, Bojay, dugfromthearth, Shi and Bryn, Riko, Annamika, Cletus, Waynebo, Fighter, well, too many to name really, but it was a pretty good time.

I am not a full time poster here, but I did love the ability to ask anything here. One night I was working on a job that HAD to ship out and we couldn't find the correct spelling of some french word. Google was no help so I asked here and got the answer I was looking for.
I basically used ACF as my knowledge base. (Eventually you would get your answer)
Also I like how I can read ACF first when I get up and know if something newsworthy happened without having to start on CNN.

The Solclaim board drama pretty much died once they finally perma'ed her and her fifteen alts. She moved to IGN with Gohan and became a different person. She still talks to a few people around here from what I've heard. Classic instinct for board drama, she had.
My best memories.

omg i used to troll the profanity out of vixen fire. not even just on acf either. she'd get super mad at me in the yahoo chats like crazy. that profanity was hilarious. and everyone trolled me by saying i sounded just like tessa. so mean. also, lyli used to flood me with pictures of her tits. like a new one every day or every time she changed her piercings.
i think i miss rotnn the most though. god he was so funny. esp when drunk and on his webcam. ooh and grumble! and the whole crapwars galaxies board before ginger showed up. actually it was pretty funny while she was there and i pretended she didn't exist and it drove her up the fking wall. plus the whole myspace thing i did. christ i was creative back then. sooz you're really lucky i don't care enough to stalk you elsewhere to that level. i would make your life so hell if i did. find and ask ginger. i can't even remember what that myspace account was named but her tits are still up there.

This for me. If something happened ACF knew immediately, but I didn't have to wade through piles and piles of other crap like on bigger news aggregation sites. And yes when Google would occasionally fail me, ACF never did - no matter what the topic.

-HG Flame wars.
-The time my brother and I 'embarrassed' Persy by jumping another guild's Bobo run and it spilled out onto the VN for like 5 pages of drama. I think he got banned over it too...
-ACVault staff, doing write ups, and then actually having people IG message me or tell me they used my writeups
-VGVault, doing a 'fake' newsletter on April Fools and I got an email from the TenTon Hammer site admin that he thought it was real and I did an epic job. LOLZ
-When I was in the experimental 'VN promotional staff'...it was me and Beib I think...
-Being Modded, seeing everyones notes, playing in the Lounge, harassing Beib constantly
-Rift and War Vaults, doing nothing, but still getting to act important
-War General in it's prime (like a week...le sigh) where I spent 6+ hours a day modding. Number of bans and angry emails...OH those were the days...
-Modded to ACF, the hate posts from everyone when they saw my dot up there and the riot posts. Most excellent.
Been a wild ride over a lot of years.

We got a new bull dog puppy a couple of weeks ago to go with our mastiffs. I sold my Harley, and after 20 years of of riding fuel to noise converters, I listened to Hyper and got a Ducati.

Last night I was STOLEN FROM!! /e breaks down in tears...
Yes Last night my level 20 axer was going to pick up some very nice AL 150 Amuli off a mule. My patron Long Dong and one of his other Vassals were at our mule spot.. I dropped the amuli as it was only us around.. when I logged on with poor little Suavecito... Zarp had picked up and stolen my Amuli suit.
Zarp's Patron is Zang Si
Zarp's Monarch is Lews-Therin
I would post the screen shots for anyone that wants to see them, however my ISP isn't letting me post them for some reason.
So if someone wants to post them for me.. I'll email them to ya.

In all honesty, I rarely remember anything from this place. The moment I log off, my internal memory dumps.
I remember having generally fun conversations, boring conversations, a feeling of community at times, and tidbits here and there...
But hell, even some of the people don't stick with me. I've had 3 friend requests on Facebook since I was invited to that ACF group, and I am holding off on all of them, because I can't recall if those guys were douchebags or not. :P
And I can't see my post history, because of this goddamn merge. Ahhh well.

I came over here as somewhat of a refugee from the DAoC Lancelot boards. Those boards were pretty much dead many years ago so I nearly quit VN all together. I miss those boards the most because they maintained a community inside and outside the game. A type of community which I think has become rarer and rarer with how most games operate these days. Ultimately, the social aspect is the only good take away from a game. There's too much focus on min and maxing, dps addons, all that fancy crap. I'll take a shitty game with a good community over some streamlined crap any day.
But what I found here was a place full of action, over the top personalities and generally a decent group. I liked posting here. The free-for-all posting adds a lot of variety and let's people bring their own interests to a group of unruly strangers. That's what makes boards like this special, it's like spam with a purpose. So I hope a decent chunk of the people here continue to post on ACF4 or VN refugee or even this new IGN deal. Communities like this are a sign of something good.

We got a new bull dog puppy a couple of weeks ago to go with our mastiffs. I sold my Harley, and after 20 years of of riding fuel to noise converters, I listened to Hyper and got a Ducati.

Buying that bike for major spamming stone was the first time i had seen an anonymous internet board band together and do a truly selfless act. i will never forget it.

That thread title still pops into my head randomly over a decade later.
I had a lot of bad times here, and a lot of good ones, and I actually still have a racy pic of Brynwen 
In its own way, this board changed my life. I came here trying desperately to save a bad marriage and in the process met the love of my life, married him (9 years ago last week!) and now we have four amazing children
Also this was my first ever message board, the first place I was ever a mod of, a real learning experience for me in so many ways.
