I like how it knows that Paul is 400 feet away. Is this after Google implants us all with tracking chips? They should spoof it and show several people lined up against a wall by armed Google Gestapo with Google-colored Nazi helmets. One of them looks up at the camera and uses a Men in Black-esque device that causes the Google Glasses to go fuzzy for a moment with a "RE-IMAGING" text flashing and when it gets clear again the Gestapo has been replaced by sunflowers.

I don't. The only time I check in at a location is when it would be meaningful to add to a Facebook post (such as going to a restaurant that someone gave us a gift card for). I have friends that do it everywhere they go, though. I don't really understand the point unless you're just hoping that someone will say "OMG IM BY THERE TOO LETS GO CHECK IN 2GETHER @ STARBUCKS!!"

Presumably, Paul is using the same glasses the wearer is using.

A lot of hot spots or a very big data bill. Until they fix our ability to carry the data this will all go the way of the failed Streaming companies in the 90s. You cannot set the horse before the cart.

**scratches head** how the hell do you figure that? Literally all of the tech demo'd here, even the TED talk stuff, already exists for cell phones.
All they're doing is changing the interface and how you access or manipulate those apps.

IRONY! It's the same data, genius, just a different interface. The one concern that is valid is battery life, and whether people will pay even less attention to their surroundings than they do when they're on their phones.
