The beating sparked outrage in the community but there were very few that stepped up to do anything about it. I would presume the inaction was because of the fact that he was homeless not because he was black. Do you know the individual who stepped up when no one else in the black community would? Do you know who spent tireless hours putting flyers on the cars of persons parked in the churches of the black community? Do you know who waited for the church-goers to get out of church so that he could hand them flyers in an attempt to organize the black community against this horrible miscarriage of justice? Do you know who helped organize the City Hall meeting on January 8, 2011 at Sanford City Hall??

The only thing I can find that links Zimmerman to the Sherman Ware case is this letter, written by an anonymous "family member" who sent it to the "media," but only a handful of disreputable "news" sources such as the Daily Caller have carried this story. Even Fox News has not.
I'm afraid that even if this is actually pertinent, it needs more corroboration.

Ya'll did hear about Spike Lee tweeting out an address of an elderly couple causing a mob to descend on their house and in fear of their lives they had to leave. Where are the people of incensed by that?

I honestly have no doubt that he thinks he is morally righteous. Who the hell becomes the captain of a neighborhood watch group and is studying to become a police officer.
He just has horrid judgement and killed a kid... he deserve to be judged and punished by society for his actions. He is probably not very bright but also raised by a judge so knows what is right and wrong. Just a stupid idiot profiling someone when he should not of been.
The only messed up thing is he was also empowered by a dumb law... thanks to gun nut lobbying in our country it makes the situation that much more sad.

No, it did not remotely come close. Zimmerman never mentioned race until directly asked by the 911 operator to specifically identify his race.
