Are my rims ruined? What chemical compound won't eat them down? What scouring pad won't scratch the EEF out of them?

This thread begs the question: do the "women" of ACF use a funnel to get that much sand in their vagina or do they just slide around the beach like an angry Roomba? -deadcactus-

I usually just use a sponge and some 409, dry it with paper towels then I use a chrome polisher afterwards

No idea if that's the best way to do it though

You can find spray-on rim cleaner in just about any store that sells car cleaning stuff. I like the Black Magic foam spray myself, works great. Spray it on, let it sit for about a minute, rinse off, then take a clean rag to the rim.

Basically what I do, just with a towel instead of sponge. And with rim cleaner instead of 409.

Soap and water with a bit of elbow grease works wonders.

I would get rim cleaner at any auto parts store or use dawn dish detergent in hot water.
