Boards Archive] |
Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.
Please enjoy the archive.

http://www.geocraft.com/WVFossils/last_200_yrs.html Temperatures have increased, according to the data, by about 0.5° C over the last 100 years. Most of these increases occurred in the first half of this time period. CO2 has also increased during this same time period-- from about 300 ppm to 370 ppm. Interestingly, the majority of these additions have occurred in the last 50 years, when temperature increases have been slowest. Independent data from orbiting satelites continuosly measuring global temperatures since the 1970's indicate that over the last 25 years that they has actually been a slight decrease in overall global temperatures. Temperatures increased 0.5° C last 100 years, orbiting satelites since the 1970's last 25 years decrease in overall global temperatures OMG GET OFF OIL WE WILL ALL DIE !!! http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_bM4f-bHLwnM/TJ31B7M78CI/AAAAAAAADwE/2sPLEUN1hkM/s1600/a+liberals.jpg

This is how this kind of spin works: 1) Take a temperature chart. For example this one. [image=http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/75/Instrumental_Temperature_Record_%28NASA%29.svg/1000px-Instrumental_Temperature_Record_ %28NASA%29.svg.png] 2) Pick two points in time, 2005 and 2008. Clearly 2005 was warmer than 2008 Therefor we have a cooling trend and not global warming. 3) Cash in your fossil fuel industry check.
