A few weeks ago I posted a story that said Chrome had replaced Firefox as the second most popular browser. But it was so close that depending on whose numbers you looked it it could go either way. So basically a tie for second place would probably be closer.

However with Chrome rapid rise in 2011 and Firefox's slow but continuous decline, it was expected by March of 2012 Chrome would easily be in second place.

But not so fast, says Firefox. Chrome has for the first time started declining during the first quarter of 2012. It's a very very tiny decline. And Firefox still seems to be holding onto the number 2 spot by a sliver.

Internet Explorer was the only browser that had steady growth during the first quarter. NOOOOOOO! tongue

Does Waterfox count as Firefox?

Because I've switched to Waterfox. Going to http://www.whatbrowseramiusing.co/, first link that came up when I searched for "what browser am i using", says I'm using Firefox.

It absolutely counts as Firefox as it is nothing more than a 64 bit optimized version of the FF code.

Edit: I switched to WF as well and very much like it.
