They shouldn't. It was right to slap him down hard and unanimously. He deserved to look like an ass for that mockery of a budget he submitted.

So you agree that the Democrats should vote no based on the premise that it is their job to produce a budget so shouldn't pass the President's budget wholesale.

Are you assuming their no vote proves your opinion that the budget was bad?

Your logic seems horribly flawed and reliant on blatantly wrong assumptions. Explain yourself.

Obama included a bunch of stuff in the budget solely for the purpose of being able to later say he proposed those things and that they were shot down by the Republicans. It was pure political theater on his part.

The Republicans dealt with his shenanigans correctly and decisively forcing the Democrats in congress to join them in dropping the hammer on Obama.

Democrats voted "no" on the Obama Budget to reinforce the concept of separation of power.

Let's check the truthiness meter:

Truth <-----------------------------------------------------------------------------X---> Lie

So there is blanket agreement that they should vote no based on the need of Congress to do their job but when they actually vote no it is proof of all sorts of nonsense.

It is hilarious to watch you people try and form a logical argument. The issue at question is what conclusion can we draw from the no vote by Democrats.

Look at paul's stupid argument. He thinks this no vote is an indictment on everything in Obama's budget with the clear intent to assume that Obama can no longer campaign on the reforms he proposed because Democrats rejected those reforms too. This is a joke of an assumption and anyone that is not horribly ignorant and brain dead stupid can figure this out.

Name me a Congress that passed an executive budget without changes.

Political theater was answered with superior political theater.

The whole thing turned out exactly as it should have.

Name me a Congress that passed the executive budget without changes.

Name me a President who didn't produce a budget and put it before Congress.

There is the budget creation process and then there is pandering to paultards.

You're just mad that the Republicans played the political theater game better than the Democrats.

You're trying to argue that the Democrats were right and the Republicans were wrong but there's no such thing in the game of political theater. It's all just a matter of perception and the Republicans won.

Get over it.

So now you are backing off your arguement even more to it being about perception. I have never argued that Republicans are not effective at creating political theater for stupid people.

Is this about perception of the meaning of these votes by the Dems or the actual meaning? Your entire argument has been that these votes meant something and now you claim it is "just perception."

I agree it is about perception. The perception of reality through your ignorance. The purposeful manipulation of the ignorance of the voting population. Continue to be one of the ignorant masses or free yourself. It is up to you slave.

It means Obama got slapped down publicly for his shenanigans.

That is meaningful because it influences perception.

Obama lost. Democrats lost. You lost.

It's a good day for America.

Congress is a gaggle of idiots but so is much of the American public they represent. Without them there would be no freedom. I fear the future of this nation freedom wise. Both parties already took away so many of our freedoms just from one small terrorist attack on 9/11. The US hasnt really faced a huge disaster yet and after that will America still be free?

Coming up with a budget isn't the President's job... It's Congress

Let's be rational... Obama could of proposed Paul Ryan's fantasy and it still would of been voted down 414-0

Abdicate = fail to fulfill

That pretty much sums up the strategy of the (R) during our most desperate time.

It's like SoO thought he had a really clever gotcha premise for this thread and when none of the replies allowed him to play out his hand he tried to force everyone's opinion in to his mold so that he could post the pithy response he had planned.

You would think he would give it up after failing five responses in a row. Insisting that people are saying the dumb thing you want them to say so that you can call them dumb is dumb.

You are an idiot. There isn't much of a gotcha when I say what the question is about in the first post.

All of the morons trying to avoid the obvious implications of the questions were purposefully illogical nonsense typical of what Bonk would do.

I am obviously just flaming these idiots and not trying very hard to get people back on topic so I can whip out some planned response. Also paul said exactly the dumb things that I thought people would say and I could flame. 1) That it is some black mark on the President to have their own party demand their own budget and 2) that the Republicans won some great political victory that will play well on the campaign trail.
