Most recent comment is about a Dodge Challenger, yup it's him.
"I have a 2009 Dodge Challenger and just installed 2 HAT 3L2Z in the dash. Running on the factory 368 watt amp they sound wonderful. Whoever designed the system though knew what they were doing, I really need that 3rd mid in the center of the dash and it is now on the way. I just can't say enough about the sound already though.
Tonal accuracy and spectral balance are dead on. I'm looking forward to the sound after the 3rd speaker is installed and even more so after the 8s are in the doors. The 3s are installed with not tweets. Yes, they sound wonderful and very sharp, just not as airy as I would like. But I'm not sure it's worth the effort. There's no room for tweets with the mids and if I put some on the A pillars I think my soundstage will be confusing.
FYI, the 368 watt rating is 6 channels at 2 Ohms. The Hybrids are 4 Ohm so the power output is supposed to be half. Don't tell the speakers though, they don't know. I was told the sensitivity would make them play about as loud and they do. Plus, I really feel like I can crank them way on up from the Infinity Kappas that I took out. Even at a much higher volume they don't sound like they want to crap out. While you can run even more power on them than I am, I really don't see the point in doing so unless you just like spending money or want to show off a big amp. My goal was to have awesome sound with the stock HU/amp. Looks like it will be mission accomplished."
