I was thinking you rolled an 800 series, then shot a 115, lol.

Of course, as the adage goes; "you get what you pay for". That is the case for the vast majority of the time.

EDIT: Other than derailing this thread, I am currently the #2 seed for next month's scratch tournament with a 774. grin

A 285 would be a 5 spare in the last 2 frames of the 10th. Like a 5 pin wash out. I have shot a 296 and have seen a 294 (probably a 6 pin washout).

A 270 would be a spare, strike, spare then 9 strikes, so not too weird.

Generally, the spares will be in the middle of a game, so you would see more 279s, 268s, 258s, etc..
