Subject: James Cameron has traveled to the deepest point on the planet.
As of 5:52 p.m. ET Sunday (7:52 a.m. Monday, local time), James Cameron has arrived at the Mariana Trench's Challenger Deep, members of the National Geographic expedition have confirmed.

His depth on arrival: 35,756 feet (10,898 meters)—a figure unattainable anywhere else in the ocean.

Reaching bottom, the National Geographic explorer and filmmaker typed out welcome words for the cheering support crew waiting at the surface: "All systems OK."

i kind of want this to end in failure like all the other attempts we've made as a species to be able to go down there. just because i can't stand him. but at the same time i really hope it doesn't because we need to learn how to make that area of the planet accessible to study.

He went into the Earth's core?

I guess making it to the deepest point of the Earth's surface is pretty impressive.

Mangler had an accident on the way home from the liquor store. He was run off the road and crashed into a woman's clinic. It was one giant Pabst smear.

Nah.  American's will just stage a false flag event, blame it on some poor country with lots of resources and then convince your dumb population that the poor third world country is an iminent threat to their lives, then invade and steal their resources.

How much would it suck to be at the bottom, or even in the process of descending, and realize you have to take a dump.

3/4 of the planet is underwater. Makes sense to me to figure out a way to mine it.

The issue is that it will be very hard to make that technology cost-effective. That's why lots of offshore drilling isn't done right now, we can but it wouldn't be profitable.
