Planned "alarm clock" raids in DAoC(!)

Sneaking through the right zones, putting scouts in the right places, organizing, coordinating.

Good shit!!

He didn't use a bug, Lord British just forgot to set his character to invulnerable, I was killed when another developer freaked and summoned a bunch of demons then turned them loose.

Any time UO had an event was pretty epic to me..

having GM's take over monsters certainly livend things up from time to time... always missed that in later mmo's.

Like when they would spawn a bunch of Balrons on a town and eventually wipe everyone and when some people would complain they were pretty much told tough luck.

Yeah, relic raids in DAoc were pretty awesome when they were well attended by all sides.

I really enjoyed it in EQ when they would stage live events as well, or totally change stuff in the zones due to some ongoing game development. The halloween stuff in the Karanas was awesome.

Killing one of the first Balrons in UO. It had been killing and looting players all day, so the loot it dropped was insane.
