Movie Bob said it is cheaply made, generic and poorly put together; I believe him. A PG-13 Battle Royale with a stupid plot doesn't excite me.

No idea what it is, I thought it was some sort of hunger strike protest for something until I saw someone mentioning it was a movie

GF's daughter (age 14) and her friends went to midnight showing last night, which tells me I probably do not want to see this and never will.

My wife read the books to her students a few years ago. So, a bunch of them got together and took her to the midnight showing of it last night. It's not a movie for me, but my wife loved it, however I think for reasons more than just the cinematography.

The reviews I've seen are positive. The first book is supposed to be a solidly written teen angst book. The movie supposedly follows closely to the book. I'm not really interested, but it is probably decent if you are into the genre.

OK, my wife dragged me to it. It wasn't bad, kinda dark. It's obvious that it's part of a bigger story, as the ending leaves you with a lot of unanswered questions. Still, not my kind of show, but I wouldn't say it's not worth seeing.

A reviewer said it was true to the books but it couldve been better if the filmaker was given free reign to be creative. The two medias are very different. Good movie for an average person. Great movie for a fanboi

Some girl a work was talking about the plot so I decided to read the book... After reading it when giving her my take on the story I suggested that had I been a 14 year old girl I'd probably have liked it.
