I don't like it. When they retire your number they are telling you you are great and have done great things for the team. it isn't something you ask for it is something they bestow. If they gave yo a form I'm sure most decent people would say, "Nah keep it in play." What kind of egoist would say anything different? but they retire it because they love you. When the organization blesses unretiring your number how are you supposed to respond?
Pretty lame IMO.

It's a disgrace to Denver to do this. I thought I was incapable of hating them more, but this is a classless move. Peyron might have earned big accolades with the number with the Colts but he hasn't earned the right to erase the honor to another player.
I think the Colts should trade for Teblow and give HIM #18.
