To a religious person, the laws of God are above the laws of man. However, the laws of man must be obeyed or the consequences suffered. To put yourself above the laws of man in actual practice and expect not to be held accountable in the earthly realm at least is a sin of pride.
Of course, some of the laws of man are congruous with the laws of God and disdaining one is the same as disdaining the other.
At the VERY least, Christians must know that the laws of man are their trials on Earth and their "crosses to bear" as it were...
In short. That archbishop is full of siht. His statement is warlike, unchristian, and prideful.
