Subject: Tax revenue will be high in the 2012 tax year but lower in 2013
There is going to be a tax increase in 2013 for capital gains which will result in a lot of people realizing gains in 2012 and not 2013. This is not something that is hard to predict and any serious tax prep specialist will be advising their clients to take advantage of the relatively lower rates in 2012. What is going to be interesting to see is what politicians attribute the changes to. Will the Dems claim that the growth in income is a result of their smart leadership? Will Republicans point to the drop in 2013 and claim it is the fault of the economy shrinking because of taxes thus proving the laffer curve.

Good times are ahead.

I bet they both will claim not what makes them look good, but what makes the other side look bad.
